Recently, the "Shandong Agricultural University Modern Agricultural Film Industry College", jointly established by our college and Shandong Qingtian Plastic Industry Co., Ltd., has been approved for establishment. This is another landmark achievement of our college in deepening the integration of industry and education and serving modern agriculture. The industry college, centered on our college's Materials Chemistry and Applied Chemistry major, will carry out all-round and in-depth cooperation with the enterprise in talent cultivation, professional construction, technology research and development, and technology transfer, aiming to build a high-level school-enterprise collaborative education platform integrating teaching, research and industrial application.
This joint construction marks a new stage in the long-term and solid cooperation between the two sides. Previously, the university and the enterprise have successfully completed the key research and development plan project of Shandong Province, jointly promoted the construction of the Taishan Industry Leading Talent Project, and jointly approved the Key Laboratory of Agricultural Film of China Light Industry. The establishment of the industrial college will effectively integrate the scientific research resources of the university and the industrialization capabilities of the enterprise, focus on key areas such as functional agricultural films, synthesis of fully biodegradable materials, and recycling and utilization of agricultural films to carry out joint technological research, and actively build a public technical service platform for the industry to help the overall technological upgrade of the industry.
The establishment of the industry college will further promote the reform of our college's talent cultivation model. In the next step, the industry college will focus on cultivating compound talents with solid theoretical foundations and outstanding engineering practice abilities through joint development of professional courses, integrating real job standards and cutting-edge production processes of enterprises into the teaching syllabus, and jointly building internship and training bases. The college will also vigorously promote the construction of a "dual-qualified" teaching staff, establish a regular mechanism for teachers to take up positions in enterprises and for enterprise experts to give lectures on campus, and thereby explore and form a new model of education and training that integrates industry and education, which is replicable and scalable.
